ESG Policy

We recognise that corporate stewardship issues and their management can have a significant impact upon company earnings and long-term valuations; therefore consideration of these issues is an integral part of our investment process. Edinburgh Partners is compliant with and supports the principles contained within the UK Stewardship Code. Our ESG Policy Statement lays out in detail how these principles are reflected in our research and engagement activities.

Most of the provisions of the Revised European Shareholder Rights Directive (the Directive) came into effect on 10 June 2019 and the revised UK Stewardship Code is due to be published in July. One of the requirements under the Directive is the publication of an Engagement Policy. At present Edinburgh Partners is amending its Engagement Policy and will publicly disclose it within this section of the website in the near future.

We are also a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI). This initiative requires signatories to be active, responsible shareholders and report annually on their efforts.
