Re: Change of investment manager, company name,
company secretary, registered office, website and ticker
The Directors of the Company are pleased to announce that Edinburgh Partners Limited ("Edinburgh Partners") has been appointed as the investment manager of the Company with effect from 1 February 2010. There will be no change to the Company's investment objective and policy.
Edinburgh Partners is an independent fund manager with approximately £6.7bn* under management, of which £213m* is in the Edinburgh Partners European Opportunities Fund, a fund with a similar investment mandate to that of the Company and an excellent record of performance since its launch in 2004. Edinburgh Partners is the manager of two other investment trusts, EP Global Opportunities Trust plc and Anglo & Overseas Plc. Edinburgh Partners' investment team is led by Dr Sandy Nairn, and Dale Robertson will be the Company's portfolio manager.
The Company's name has changed from Foreign & Colonial Eurotrust PLC to The European Investment Trust plc with effect from 1 February 2010 and Kenneth Greig has been appointed as the Company Secretary.
The registered office of the Company is being changed to Beaufort House, 51 New North Road, Exeter EX4 4EP. The Company's website is now ww.theeuropeaninvestmenttrust.com and the Company's ticker on the London Stock Exchange and the New Zealand Stock Exchange is changing from FCU to EUT.
