History
Establishing Edinburgh Partners in 2003 was the culmination of a long-held ambition to set up an independent investment firm, exclusively focused on investment research and portfolio management.
Authorisation was granted by the Financial Services Authority in August 2003, the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority in 2004, the SEC in 2005, the Australian Securities & Investment Commission in 2006, the British Colombia Securities Commission and Ontario Securities Commission in 2007.

- December 2003 - Edinburgh Partners Global Opportunities Trust launched
- April 2004 - Edinburgh Partners Opportunities Fund launched
- January 2005 - First pension fund invested
- April 2006 - Moved into current offices in Charlotte Square
- December 2006 - Funds under management passed £1bn. Client base now covers Australia, Europe, UK and North America
- April 2007 - First local authority invested
- October 2007 - North American office opened in New York
- November 2007 - Soft closing implemented for segregated business
- August 2008 - Reopened to segregated business
